Our cooperation began with the identification of specific needs and requirements of JDE and the entire data collection system and individualized reporting were based on them. Their requirements were very specific as they knew exactly what their target was:

  1. Comparison of primary display shares
  2. Comparison of shares in secondary placement in selected chains, not only through selected categories and manufacturers, but above all through individual types of secondary displays. A significant advantage for this cooperation was our own application for collecting and individual approach to reporting, in which a wide range of coefficients, calculations and individualized views were set.

After consulting with the client, ppm factum began the preparation; it was necessary to prepare the entire collection in modern PDA devices and a detailed methodology was created and an experienced team of auditors was trained because this collection was specific in its assignment, as the collection concerned the share of secondary placements and the share of the maximum possible and real stock on individual types of displays. A very important point was the capture and setting of control rules during collection, when we went through individual types of secondary placements with the client and set up control mechanisms for them when collecting individual variables. This entire system was thoroughly set up after several joint visits in the field and defining specific situations and cases with significant impact on the final informative value of the report.

The most important part of the process is the collection of data at the sales area, which is unified across all stores in the Czech Republic and Slovakia with the help of a uniform methodology and training. The auditor cannot start the collection without verifying the address GPS to ensure the collection at the right time and in the right place. Specific checks are set during the collection (checking the collection of all defined categories, manufacturers, etc.). The collection also includes detailed photo documentation, which is used by the client as another important basis when working with data received regularly together with the final report.

The robust report itself is clear and the client could focus on it easily. Training was a matter of course and it facilitated the client’s initial work with the report and clarified its full use. New questions and requirements for completion within the report came while working with real data and we always found a common solution for them.

Each project is topical; we are not here to set something up once and it being the client’s duty to accept such set-up service. We are a partner to our clients, which is why we deal with each request thoroughly, we ask for its reason. Subsequently, we look for common solutions to improve the entire process even more, so that all data are used as easily and effectively as possible for the evaluation of history, but above all for future planning and strategy creation.
